Funders are not donating to a given cause—they are investing and expect and deserve results.
Grant Writing (and Proposal Writing) share a common, logical framework. A given project or program has inputs > activities > outputs > outcomes (impact). Winning grant proposals demonstrate how funding will produce long-lasting change and why that impact matters.
My passion for writing and business has been shaped by more than 25 years as a Technical Writer and 5 years in nonprofit/government sectors, along with formal coursework in Financial Accounting. I began my career in Silicon Valley, where I supported over eight startups and leading technology companies—gaining firsthand experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Technical writing will always satisfy the curious, technology geek within, but Grant Writing awakens a deeper sense of community, purpose, and meaning.
With a deep commitment to community, I bring over five years of nonprofit management experience, driving positive, lasting change. As a volunteer Executive Director and Advocacy Writer, I successfully influenced $1.2 million in funding—delivering two major capital projects, a community skatepark and a dog park—that transformed recreational access and quality of life for local youth and a small community in need of gathering places.
My passion for civic engagement, strategic partnerships, and inclusive community design continues to fuel my dedication to building economically vibrant, resilient communities.
I merge authentic storytelling with your strategic planning to achieve winning proposals that persuade for the betterment of people, businesses, and communities.
